The fourth edition of the International Bread Festival is reconfirmed once again this year as the biggest Italian event in the sector and hits the headlines with numerous guests and a busy programme of events.
Something brand new to this edition is undoubtedly the presence of Israel and Palestine, not only bringing their bread, but also acting as ambassadors for a project born in the Middle East, named “Bread for Peace”.
As always, visitors can see great International Master Bread Bakers at work, discover endless forms of bread, including Savigliano’s very own “Alvà” bread (made with mother-yeast), and enjoy unusual tasting sessions featuring bread and the typical products brought from the host countries, along with the best products of Piedmont, bearing the Piemonte Eccellenza Artigiana (Piedmont Artisan Excellence) mark.
The International Bread Festival is all this: an opportunity to learn about traditions and curiosities, a meeting between peoples to communicate the desire and need for peace.
